National company “Uzbekistan Railways” was formed on November 7, 1994 on the basis of former Central Asian railways. Total deployed length of the main roads of the company nowadays is 3645 km. There are 24 major stations within the infrastructure.
From 1993 year “Uzbekistan Railways” National Company is a member of the Organization for Cooperation of Railways (OSJD). It has relationship with International Union of Railways (UJC) and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asian and the Pacific (ESCAP).
