On October 24, 2018, a meeting was held at the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Development of Tourism, under which an Agreement on Cooperation between the Committee and the Uzbekistan-Japan Center was signed.
The agreement provides for the holding of seminars and other forms of training programs that facilitate the implementation of processes for the exchange of experience between Uzbekistan and Japan.
During the meeting, the Japanese side noted positive changes in the field of tourism and the development of cooperation between the countries. Among the proposals there was a wish to develop cooperation between representatives of business tourism.
For reference: the Uzbek-Japanese Center was established in accordance with the agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Japan, reached in October 2000. The founders of the Center are the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
